When we lived Northwest Indiana, Portillo's was a regular stop. We haven't had it since wemoved to Indianapolis a few years ago. We were in the area and decided to grab lunch. Same delicious Portillo's as always.
I ordered chicken tenders and fries. They were both delicious. The service was amazing, as usual. The restaurant is well-organized and looks great inside--there is plenty room to sit down and eat. I will be back, thanks!
cute fast food restaurant that's worth going in and sitting for the environment. but easily my favorite place for chicken strips, cheese fries and a nice chocolate shake. noting again that it IS a fast food place but it is cute to go in and sit down.
Portillo's is a slice of heaven from my hometown Chicago get very authentic Chicago bites that is very reasonably priced that will leave you feeling full and satisfied. The atmosphere is very casual. Come in your jeans you order wait for your number to be called and find you the best seating in the house. Don't forget to not try their chocolate cake. It is a must try. I always get a combo which is the Italian beef with Italian sausage dipped, of course because I want all of the goodness cheese fries, and your choice of beverage or if you're in the mood, one of their famous shakes Finish off with some chocolate cake and I am ready for nap all reasonably priced so if you see a Portillo's and you're indecisive, don't be pull in. Being a New Yorker and a bit of a purist I was READY to hate these hot dogs. Boy was I wrong. I realize this is a small chain and possibly not what a Chicagoan would deem authentic but..... baby! I am a fan! Literally can't wait to get hot dogs next time I'm in Chicago because I enjoyed these so much. It's the sweet, savory, saltiness for me!!
Woot there it is... "another late evening grab before we go home to Atlanta"... could NOT RESIST. Event if we tried we don't know where we will eat some Portillo again in the near future. Significant other and I did the usual. We Split an Italian beef and a hot dog. To get the best of both worlds. Never disappoints. Only thing that could make it better is to enjoy it in front of the bean... IFYKYK... until next time...
